Physical Therapy for Dancers, Reimagined

At Boston Dance PT, we recognize the need for a variety of treatment styles and options in order to meet the needs of the professional dancer, as well as the serious student. Due to the volume and difficulty of training, dancers operate at a level demanding continuous access to care. By providing access in a way that is similar to what is found in the PT room at major professional companies, we are able to offer a higher level of treatment with the goal of minimizing the need for long courses of frequent sessions.

Dancers in the greater Boston area have the ability to book quickly without the need for referral or prescription, and are not bound to treatment plans dictated by insurance requirements and reimbursement. By not accepting insurance, Boston Dance PT is able to provide care for injury-prevention and regular maintenance, in addition to injuries and conditions of varying severities. Additionally, practitioners are able to focus on addressing technique and choreography challenges to act directly on the cause of injury. In doing this, the goal is to avoid chronic conditions and recurrence. We also provide considerably greater manual therapy to our patients, while just adding or adjusting a few exercises incorporated into what is frequently already a thorough conditioning program. Furthermore, Boston Dance PT can be utilized as an adjunct therapy to insurance-based PT as needed and does not interfere with the ability of the patient to be covered elsewhere. This affords the luxury of offering a truly catered experience at a professional level to all of our patients.
